Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C.

Oman Oil Company is a company wholly owned by the Government of the Sultanate of Oman. The company was established in 1996 to give the Government a vehicle for pursuing investment opportunities in the energy sector both inside and outside Oman. OOC has managed, in a relatively short period of time, to contribute to the development of many important projects in energy and energy related areas. Through this participation, OOC plays a key role in the Sultanate's efforts to diversify the Omani economy and help generate Omani and foreign private sector investment. Local and international investments of OOC include 33 projects covering the areas of exploration and production, mining, refining and petrochemical, oil products marketing, electricity generation and marine shipping.


Takatuf Oman L.L.C

Takatuf Oman L.L.C. was first established in 2011 as the Human Capital Unit in O.O.C with a mandate to help the Oman Oil Company group of companies develop their human capital. It became an independent company in November 2013. Through talent management, competency and capacity building and more effective and efficient management of human resources, Takatuf Oman aims to establish OOC and its partner companies as employers of choice in Oman and the region. Equally important is the Takatuf Oman commitment to sharing its knowledge of best practices, processes and systems throughout its group of companies. Takatuf Oman aims to create opportunities for growth, advancement and continuous learning for its talented, motivated staff who in turn will contribute to the success of the companies through the excellence of their performance.

The National Career Guidance Centre, Ministry of Education

Every government school in Oman has a Career Guidance Specialist who works with students to prepare them for higher education and their future employment. The Directorate and their network of Career Guidance Specialists is a major support for students wishing to apply for the Takatuf Scholars Programme and advice to the Programme Directorate.

The Higher Education Admission Centre, Ministry of Higher Education

Providing advice and important statistical data, the Centre was instrumental in informing the Takatuf Scholars Programme Directorate about establishing academic performance criteria for application.

The Sultan's School

One of Oman's leading private schools, the residential facility at the school was home to the summer residential programmes of the Takatuf Scholars Programme in 2012 and 2013.

The Language Centre of Sultan Qaboos University

Providing advice and support for English language testing and assessment, the Language Centre is an invaluable source of knowledge and insight about Omani secondary school students. It plays a key role in furthering the research mandate of the Takatuf Scholars Programme and in assessing some Scholars' works.
